August 27, 2012 - San Carlitos, and the Mystery Machine!

Well here it is, the long awaited letter! It’s been quite the week to say the least! I’m sure you are all excited to see what has gone on here in the blessed land of San Carlos!
Well! We left Tuesday morning from the mansion of the mission. It was raining, a little surprise! So We threw the luggage under the bus in the terminal and headed out for Chillan. It was a 2 hour ride in bus. No prob. So we get to the terminal in Chillan and we wait a few minutes for Elder Turner to arrive from Parral. Then Elder Benitez my comp, Elder Cruz and Elder Turner all head out. We had to walk to another corner for about 10 minutes and I had my luggage and bags strung around my neck and my backpack so we were loaded to the gills. Then we waited for the bus to come to head out to San Carlos. I was expecting a little bus like usual, but to my surprise the Mystery Machine showed up! Not quite but it was a little van bus with about 15 seats and of course....... all filled up! But we were stoked to this great start to our new sector, another new adventure. So we pilled in our 4 luggage bags, and our backpacks, and bags on the little thing. And we headed out for a 40 minute ride into the farmland of Chillan. It is pretty out here. A lot of little houses with big property and cows and horses. So we get off and drop off the bags in the house and we head out to lunch. After lunch we got taken home in a car luckily because it started pouring! So I unpacked a little. And then we headed out rubber boots and all! It was a good day. We were walking down the street and I saw a door out of the corner of my eye and knocked on it and they let us in. It was a mom and her son. Monica and Danny. They accepted baptismal dates! So it was a great start to the day. And we spent the rest of the day looking for people because they had nobody to work with here. Just a bunch of people that weren’t progressing. So at the end of the night I was wasted and wet to the gills. It was freezing cold too, but satisfied with the work that the Lord had helped us do. We planned and I prepared a little bit for the District Class. Next morning I prepared a little bit for the class and then we left for Chillan again. Another 40 minute ride and still raining. And cold. But the class went good. We talked about the importance of teaching toward commitment. So we all left happy! Then I had a mini exchange with Elder White. We went to their sector Antarctica Chilena. I had to do a baptismal interview with one of their investigators. We taught a couple of lessons and did some good contacts. We had a lesson at night with a couple and we brought some members a newer couple. We had a good lesson we put baptismal dates with them and invited them to church. The husband was pretty sick. He works a bunch and has two little girls. And as we got up to leave I asked if he would like a blessing. And we gave a blessing, and the Spirit was way strong as we left. We taught a couple more lessons that day. So that was Wednesday. And I had been sick all day because the weather is way different than Concepcion. It is wet and cold so it got the best of me. I had no energy at all, but kept it together.
Then Thursday we went out after studies in the dark because the power was cut and no heater! haha So that was pretty classic. We did some contacts then took a taxi to Centro to switch back. Elder Benitez and I took a bus back to San Carlos. And we went to lunch. We got off the bus and we walked about 15 minutes out to a sister’s house out in the outskirts of town, it was way cool. We had fried chicken and rice. And we taught one of her neighbors Ismael while we ate and we gave him a Book of Mormon so that was great! And then us 4 walked back to the house and got ready to work. I was still a little under the weather the whole day. But we got some great work in for sure. We found a bunch of new people and we taught some great lessons so we were way happy. We did a lot of contacts and taught a lot of lessons. Luckily the sun was out in full force. We found an older lady and taught about the Restoration her name is Marta. And we found a couple of other people.
Friday we had some planning to do for church so that was great. Then we went out to work for a bit then to lunch so it was good. Friday we were also busy like usual. We got a lot of contacts in and some good news. We walked to a new little part of town and the 1st door we knocked on we got in and it was late at night. So we taught them the restored gospel and put them with baptismal dates! So the Lord was definitely with us throughout this whole week. Then as we were walking home I saw a fence open and we walked in and knocked on the door. And a little kid opened it and we looked in and there was a mom at the table eating once ( own-say) the Chilean dinner and at first she said they were busy and they were talking but I felt the urge to offer a prayer and I did and she let us in. She told us that they were talking about a problem, in the family. Her parents and sister were there. And her kids were playing on the floor. I shared my testimony of what the Gospel had done for me in my life, and I gave the prayer. As we stood up her sister at the table looked over and said, I knew you guys would come in thanks for sharing a prayer with us so we gave them a pamphlet and left. The Spirit was so strong in that house. I hope we will be able to find that lady one day. They live out in the farmlands so hopefully one day we pass by her sister’s house she is there. So that was a little miracle that the Lord gave us. We ended the night planning so it was good.
Saturday we played some soccer in the morning with some less actives and investigators. Then took a shower and went to lunch. After lunch we walked back with our clothes that had been washed. And then we went to work. We taught Danny about church and he said he would come. Then we went to Daniela and we were teaching her for a bit with the Second Counselor of the Bishopric who she lives with. Brother Claudino is his name. And as we were about to share a scripture about how God wants us to get married her boyfriend walked in. And we had a good lesson about the importance of getting married to be able to be baptized. The Spirit guided that lesson no doubt I don’t remember half of what I said or Elder Benitez. But it was good. I offered to pay for their tickets on the bus to go to the Registro Civil to go sign the documents to get married. But we are gonna see. They didn’t come to church. And at the end of the night we taught the grandchildren of a recent convert grandma. It was a little bit of a battle to put them with baptismal dates. The grandma thinks they need to be more prepared but they already go to church every Sunday and know everything. But we got them with baptismal dates so that was great. Then we went home and planned after a quick stop at the local completo stand!
Sunday I finished writing my talk. I had to give a talk on the Atonement. We left early to go and look for some investigators for church. One of the investigators Marcela said she would come. We taught her with a member the day before about marriage also. A lot of people here don’t want to get married or don’t think it’s necessary. But Marcela wants to get married and be baptized but her boyfriend doesn’t want to. So we went to go and get her but she wasn’t there because her boyfriend came home drunk so she didn’t want to go. And we went to get Danny because he said he would come but wasn’t home he had left so we went to go look for him on the way to church we saw him with his brothers selling fruit and vegetables in their tricycle like Nacho Libre. And we urged him to come but didn’t. But church was great I was able to present myself and give my talk. The 2 grandchildren came to church so that was great. The classes went well. And then after we had lunch with the Bishop. He is a young bishop. He served his mission in Santiago Chile about 10 years ago so he’s fresh! And we had a good day working. We found Hector a guy who had shared a little bit before with missionaries. He has a brain tumor and after talking at the door for a minute he let us in and we taught him the restored gospel, and put him with a baptismal date and he said he would come to church next week, so that was sweet. Then we went home and did some weekly planning and I had to call in numbers.
So it was a great week. This is the promised land! San Carlos. The missionaries before us I guess weren’t the most obedient missionaries as it is a sector far away from anything so you can get away with a lot of stuff. So with some diligence and obedience and desires we were able to work some miracles and see some great progress in the Lords work. I know the Lord watched over us all week and helped us get things going. There is a lot of things to do here, so I am way excited to see what San Carlos has in store this week. My testimony grew so much of the power of the Spirit. It does everything as long as you let it. So thanks for your prayers. This week I go down to Concepcion for a Leaders Council for the month so I’m excited for that!
Have a great week everyone! Thanks for everything,
     Elder Johnson

August 20, 2012 - San Carlos or bust!

Well transfers came! I’m heading out to the countryside! It’s called San Carlos in the city of Chillan(chii-john). So I am pretty excited. Transfers are the worst because all night you lay in bed thinking about it and you don’t have a clue what’s gonna go on! And everyone says stuff so you get a bunch of ideas in your head! So it’s crazy, but the call came this morning. And Elder Arancibia is gonna be training! He is a stud of a missionary! He is so great he is a whole different missionary then he was 4 and a half months ago. He is a huge example for me. He is a true Helaman Warrior.
But we had a great week this week. The Conference with Elder Arnold was great it was a great way to start out the week, and it gave me a new way to look at the way I need to serve my mission. Then Tuesday was District class. So we talked about obedience and we did some good practices!  So it was way cool. We worked hard this week and it paid off at the end of it. We found a bunch of new investigators. One of them is Krisna and her family. Her parents are less actives from a long time ago. Like 20 years and they haven’t gone for a while. It was a miracle. One day we were contacting and we found them and now we are trying to reactivate the family so that they can let their daughter get baptized. And they have 2 sons who are less actives but they are older like 24 and 29 one of them has little kids. One of them is going through some tough times Patricio. But we shared a powerful lesson with them and invited them to church. And on Sunday in the morning I had to finish writing my talk, and then we got ready and left to go look for some of our investigators. We went outside to get a taxi to go to Las Aguitas, but none came for the 1st couple of minutes so I said oh no this isn’t gonna be one of those times where you wait 30 minutes and nothing ends up coming. So we took off walking like in the Olympic fast walk Marathon! Because we would’ve arrived late to church, but a little past the half-way point one finally pulled up behind us, so we hopped in and got to Las Aguitas, and the lady and daughter that we had invited didn’t answer their phone so we went to their house at the tippy top of the hill. So we got there and the whole time it had been sprinkling so I was praying my little heart out that it wouldn’t rain because if it rains in Chile no one goes to church it all shuts down. So we knocked on the door and their little dog started barking. We knocked like 4 times and yelled. So we ended up leaving a note and some big pictures of Jesus Christ.
Then we walked down the hill and we walked up another hill to get the family that we are reactivating. Krisna and her parents. I had called them earlier and they said they were still sleeping and it is raining, but when I called we were outside and it was sprinkling. So I promised them some blessings and said it’s gonna be great! So we were a little unsure if they were gonna come. So we got to the house and we went to walk into the gate and the dad was in the bathroom doing something and he said they had already left! And we tried inviting him there but he didn’t want to come. So we walked down the hill, and we see them there, and we were super stoked! So we walked to church with them. And we got there and got everyone settled, and then we started sacrament. I had to give the first talk. I was as scared as ever like always. I talked about service and shared some ideas about that, and about how as we serve we become more and more like our Savior Jesus Christ. So it went well, and then after us 4 missionaries sang the first and fourth verse to High on a Mountain Top! ( woot woot represent Johnson family!) And it was great the ward always likes when we sing. And then Elder Caballero talked after me and we went outside to call our investigator Felicia and her daughter again and they said they were on the way to the church! So we ran down the steps and down the street and met up with them! So we were so excited for them. And they had a great time in church. The daughter Genesis loved primary and the mom liked the classes! So then we stayed after a little bit and we took some pictures, and then we got taken to lunch. And then after lunch we went home and changed, and then we went and visited Brother Bolaño. He is a great member. We helped him move some dressers and then we sang a hymn and talked about the mission a bit, and then we took a picture he is a great Latter Day Saint he is a true example of perseverance. I’ll always remember him. And then we went to the Marin`s house and we had a Family Night with Jocelyn and Evelyn. And then we went home and planned a little bit and then I took numbers like always. But it was a great week! We found some good people, and got a lot of good work done.
We had some missionaries stay in our house. The ones that are going to go home tomorrow. So then in the morning after a night of dreaming of where I thought I’d be going the call came and said where we were all going! So that was cool. And then I got up and did some things and started packing my suitcases to head out!
That’s about it for this week. Our biggest goal was to get some new people to church that haven’t gone before and we were able to do it thanks to the help of the Lord so we were happy to see that get done. He truly has blessed us these four and a half months we have been together. I told Elder Arancibia that he has a bed and a surf board if he ever comes to California. And he said I’m always welcome to go to his house in La Serena Chile. So we have had a great time together. We have been to the tippy top and passed through some pretty rocky times but we are soul brothers no doubt!
Well have a great week everyone! I hope everyone has a great time this week and that you enjoy the heat! I love all you guys!
les quiero,

August 13, 2012 - Elder Arnold, and a pila bautismal!

Dear family! Here we are again! The last week of the exchange has arrived, and we are stoked! We had those  two baptisms on Saturday so that was sweet! And we had a good week also! District Class was epic as always. We had a good conversation about some things we can do differently in the district. So that was sweet.   We had a good day Tuesday working.
Wednesday was great also! I worked with Elder Tingey in his sector! It was epic we taught a bunch of lessons. And we saw a bunch of miracles it was all time. We had a sweet lesson at the end of the day. It was a family that was deciding between getting married and not getting married and getting a house. So we walked in with a prayer in our hearts. Because they are a great family so we started talking and we talked about the importance of faith and how if we trust in God he will make miracles happen and how sometimes it isn’t all roses. But the Spirit was so strong as we testified of those things, and we left them with the commitment to read Ether 12 and pray to know if they needed to get married so they could be baptized because the next day they had to sign the papers and we couldn’t let them do that! But the Lord blessed us with His spirit. And the next morning as we were doing our studies the husband called and said that they were leaving in 15 minutes! So we got ready and shot out the door with him to make the appointment at the office! It was truly a miracle. It was so cool to see the desires that couple had to be baptized and follow the example of Jesus Christ. It strengthened my testimony. And later that morning we found a golden investigator in the apartment complex who is golden. He was so stoked to receive the Book of Mormon! He couldn’t believe that it was free! So that was way cool. Elder Tingey is awesome he is so great.
Then Thursday Elder Arancibia and I had another mini combio. I worked with Elder Luna in our sector. So that was good. We got some good work done. And we taught Jocelyn and Evelyne and gave them their baptismal gowns so that was sweet. They were way excited! And then we did some contacts so it was great.
Then Friday we switched back in the morning and we did some good planning for church and then  we went to the pharmacy to buy some medicine for Elder Arancibia. We were both sick. He was sick last week and me this week. But I just drank a bunch of water and ate oranges and some throat lozenges. So it was good. You just gotta stay animated to not be sick. Because there is one person who doesn’t want us to go into the street preaching the gospel with a smile on my face and I knew we wouldn’t have any success if I sandbagged it. So I just stayed stoked and it was a stellar week! We found a less active lady and her daughter who isn’t baptized. So we are excited for them. The mom wants to go back to church and the daughter accepted a baptismal date! So that’s cool. And we taught this other family, and their son read the whole Restoration pamphlet at night! So we were so stoked for that! Now we just gotta get them to church this week. We sadly didn’t have anyone, so that’s something to work on. But Saturday was the baptism and it was all crazy like usual. Because everyone got their late and none of the bishopric almost didn’t show up but the counselor finally got there. And we saw the font before the service and it was low so I turned it up during the opening services and when we went to baptize it was almost overflowing out of it! So a typical Elder Johnson goof up! haha. But it went good a bunch of their friends and family came. And they had a stake activity and I had to be the Charming Prince for our ward. The dude from Shrek. So I ran onto the stage with a rose in my mouth and did a cart wheel and a couple of dance moves and ran off!
Sunday we confirmed Jocelyn and Evelyn so that was great. They came to church with skirts already! So that was cool. And after lunch we had to clean the chapel because Elder Arnold was coming the next day to give a conference. So we did that for a couple of hours. And then we ran home and got changed and grabbed some brownies to make for a Family Night with Jocelyn and Evelyn and a member family. We watched the Mountain of the Lord. So that was cool. And we shared some testimonies after so that was great. And then we had to run back home and do a little planning and I had to take numbers. And the Zone Leaders and a couple of District Leaders from Talca came to our house to sleep for the night because we had to be at the church super early.
Now here comes the good part. Elder Arnold’s conference. It was only given to all the Zone Leaders of the missions Concepcion and Concepcion South mission and a few select District Leaders. And I got invited. So it was way cool. He is the President of the Area Sud America Sur which is Chile Argentina Uruguay and Paraguay. He is such an inspiring man. He opened my eyes to  a bunch of things we should be doing differently. He talked about how there are different levels of commitment. You can be obedient with exactness, make sacrifices or become consecrated. He talked to us about how we need to raise the bar in our missions. And how we need to lead our Districts and Zones with the Spirit that the Lord gives us. He talked about how we need to practice each lesson we are going to share with an investigator. We were just blasted with the Spirit. He gave us a bigger vision of what our mission,  Zone,  District and Sector needs to be. And then Elder Fereira gave a testimony, because he is the 70 in charge of this part of Chile. And he shared some cool stories. In his mission he made a bunch of thank you cards and handed them out to members and he said that changed the ward he was in, because he taped a little flower onto it and he said it was super special for that ward. And at the very end, Elder Arnold gave his final words and testimony and I had tunnel vision my eyes were just fixed on him and what he was testifying about. The Spirit was so strong. Nothing had ever happened to me like that before. I couldn’t believe what I had lived through. So I have a notebook full of notes so we are going to have an epic District Class tomorrow that’s for sure. And after we had Subway sandwiches and President Humphrey talked to us for a bit. And now I’m here in the internet place. But this was one of the most spiritual days I have had on my mission so far.
So next week I’ll tell you guys were I’m headed off to, and I hope everyone has a stellar week! And enjoy the heat! Love you guys tons and I hope McKenna gets better! Siga firme!
Much Love,
Elder Johnson

August 6, 2012- Platanos Fritos!

Hello my querida familia! Man time is flyin by! We got good news though! We are gonna have 2 baptisms this Saturday! So your prayers paid off! Jocelyn and Evelyne are gonna get baptized. They came to our English class one day and we started teaching them, and now a month later they are getting baptized! So we are super stoked for them!
But of course we started the week out with a killer District Class. It was given by the Zone Leaders because they had a one Leader Council. So it was cool. They talked about Pride and how it affects our ability to learn. It was great, and then we talked about how we can gain the confidence of the investigator in the first couple of minutes of the lesson. It was great! But we had a good day!
And Wednesday was pretty normal. I had a mini combio with Elder Wade. He came to our sector and we worked here. He was able to meet a couple key investigators. Omar and Jocelyn and Evelyne. We taught Jocelyn and Evelyn at a member’s house, and we talked about the importance of receiving an answer to their prayers to know that they needed to be baptized. It was great! And it was pouring rain outside to, so you can’t beat that.
Thursday in the morning we had a Leaders council with the Leaders from our Zone. Elder Wade Elder Tingey, Elder Rees and I all went to their house and we talked about a few key things in the Zone and some things we can get better at. And we did some practices, so it was sweet! And of course we ate some cookies and chocolate, haha. And then Elder Arancibia and Elder Falcon came and we headed home and we went to lunch and then came home and we started working. It was a good day though! We taught some good lessons. We found out that the son of one of the families we teach ran away. But they are doing ok we shared with them and they came to church so we were so happy for them!
Friday we did a little bit of planning for people we need to bring to church so that went good, and then we went to lunch. We also had a mini exchange that day. I worked with Elder Chagoyan in our sector. He is a stud, he is 18 and full of faith! He taught me a bunch. We taught Jocelyn and Evelyne in a member’s house and it was a good lesson. Sister Salazar shared a good testimony about the gospel, and as we were praying the thought came to my head to ask them if they had prayed about their baptism. I should of done it early, but I followed the impression and I asked and they smiled and nodded and said yes!!!!!! They said they wanted to be baptized on the 11th of August! So I am excited for them! Thanks for your prayers they helped for sure! And we taught a couple more lessons together and we found a new investigator that wasn’t so great, and we did a lot of contacts. Then we ended the night with some good planning.
Saturday we woke up and had some killer exercises and then we had a good study together we talked about the importance of leaving strong commitments with the investigators so that they keep progressing. It was great. And then we went out to work and we stopped by a less active and we taught her. And then we went to lunch and it was delicious! Then we went to the house to get Elder Chagoyans stuff to finish the mini exchange. Then Elder Arancibia and I walked back to our sector and we started working. We found a lady in this big apartment building. We were ringing the box of doorbells that every apartment has and usually they don’t let us in, but we got in and we taught her real quick. And then we left and I was outside writing something in my agenda and I looked up and there was a lady leaning outside her window and we started talking and she let us in and she was a less active. So we shared a scripture with her. So that was cool! Then we went and taught some other lessons. At night we were contacting this super rich part of our sector, and we rang a doorbell and we talked to a little girl and then her father came out and we talked for a second and then he let us in. And we taught a powerful lesson about the restoration and how families can be together forever and how we can be more happier on this earth by following the gospel and we committed him to baptism, but he didn’t accept. But the Spirit was so strong. We felt that we had done our part, but at least we left a good impression with him. He is leaving for New York today anyways for vacation,  haha.
And then good ole Sunday came around! We had Ward Council. So the office Elders picked us up. It was good we planned the baptism we are going to have so we were way excited for that. And we called all of our investigators to come. We ended up having 5 in church and 4 progressing so we were stoked! Lucas, Omar, Jocelyn and Evelyn and Paolo all came! So we were stoked for that!
And then we went to lunch, and then we went home and we did a little bit of planning and we went out and did some contacts and then we met up with Jocelyn and Evelyn to go to a family night. It was a great family night they were able to meet a bunch of youth from our ward. So it was way cool! And I fried up some green bananas. Something me and Elder Gil always did so they liked that. We watched the testaments movie, and sang some hymns so it was way cool! Then we went home and finished planning and I took numbers.
And then for P Day today we played some soccer! So that was fun. We played for a little bit with all of the Zone. The Assistants came, they have their P Days on Saturday but it was a Zone Activity so they came. And they took us there, and on the way back some other Elders came so we all pilled in the back of the truck. So it was pretty classic going 80 down the road weaving in and out of buses, haha. And I got my haircut because it was long too. And next Monday Elder Arnold the new Area President is coming to give a special capcitation to the Zone Leaders and a few District Leaders from the mission and I got invited so it’s gonna be way cool! I’m gonna take a bunch of notes in that one! So I’m sure I’ll have something good to say!  But have a great week everyone! I love you all!

July 30, 2012 - Mini Combio in Pedro de Valdivia and Sunshine in my soul!

Hey ya all! Well time for the update! I guess everyone will be in Utah for this one! Everyone here calls Utah La Fabrica because that’s were all of the missionaries come from. A little Chilean fact for you!
Well it was a stellar week as a matter of fact! We got a lot of work done! So we are happy.
District Class started the week off well of course! We talked about the importance of bringing people to church and how we can do it more efficiently. So it was cool. Everyone left stoked. So I liked that a lot! And then we went to lunch and taught some lessons. And we went to a birthday party for a youth in our ward. The one who lives on top of the muddy hill. We walked down the trail without any light so it was cool!
Then Wednesday we had interviews with President Humphrey! That was cool. We got a ride to his house from the office Elders who live close by. It was freezing cold in the morning. But I’ve got no complaints because at least it aint raining! But it was good. While President did interviews the Assistants taught about proper planning and planning with the key indicators. So it was way cool.  We put into practice what we learned this week and we are already seeing some good results. And Sister Humphrey always has a basket with those gold candies that grandma always has, so I destroyed like half the basket, and put some in my pockets! They are so good! And then right after I had a mini exchange with Elder Chagoyan!  So it was cool we went to their lunch, and then went to the house and talked for a bit and then it was time to leave. We had a good day. We were contacting and we found a grandma and her granddaughters. The grandma is less active and the younger granddaughter was super excited to listen and wants to be baptized! So that got Elder Chagoyan stoked! It was just what they needed. Elder Chagoyan is from Distrito Federal Mexico, he is 18 and he is a stud muffin of a missionary! So we did a lot of contacts and we taught a couple of lessons. And to end the night of course we bought some completos to fill up the empty stomach! And then we went home and planned for the next day. And I was dead tired that night I don’t know what happened. Maybe it was the sugar impact from the basket of candies I killed, haha.
Thursday was awesome as well. We had some good studies together, and we went to work and did some contacts and found a new investigator, and put a baptismal date with him! So it was cool. And then we went to lunch, and then we went to our house. We had to take a bus then walk like 15 minutes in the city to get there and it was hot. Then we switched back companions. And Elder Arancibia and I started to work and we had a good day. We taught the 2 girls we have been teaching they are progressing well. We shared about the Book of Mormon. It was a powerful lesson we bore testimony of its truthfulness, and I shared a personal story also. So that was great. And we also taught Omar our Mexican friend! He is doing good we are trying to help him recognize an answer from God. So we have been praying real hard for him and teaching him. So pray for him and Jocelyn and Evelyn, the 2 of them might be baptized this weekend but most likely the next week. So pray for them please! Your prayers work!
Friday we had a little bit of weekly planning. And we went to buy some medicine for Elder Arancibia because he is sick. He’s been coughing a lot poor guy. But he has been toughing it out so I admire him for that! And then we went to lunch. We taught a couple lessons with member that day so it was sweet and another lesson. So it was a pretty normal day. The sun was out all week. But it’s weird because in the afternoon it’s pretty warm and then BAM! The cold comes and freezes you! So that’s why there is sunshine in my soul, also because we are seeing some good progress here too! Oh and we also had the ward party! It was about Alma in the Book of Mormon. We had to answer some questions, and they handed out prizes, and then we had some food, and then we left. And Evelyn and Jocelyne came also so it was good! And then we went home.
Saturday was a good day. We taught a lesson to Omar, about recognizing an answer through prayer. So it was great! And then we did some contacts and then went to lunch! And then we went home and went out to work. We watched the Restoration with Jocelyn and Evelyne in the house of a member so that was good. They need to recognize their answer also. They aren’t 100% sure they need to be baptized so we are gonna work on that this week. And we taught a couple other lessons. And we found a lady named Patricia. She pretty much said she is looking for our church long story short so we are way excited!
And then my favorite day came around! Sunday! And we had Jocelyne Evelyne and Omar in church! So we are excited for them. We had some good classes. And the last class was together with Relief Society and Priesthood, and we talked about Genealogy and the Family Search website! So it was cool! And then we ate lunch with an Ecuadorian family! It was so good! They had huge corn pieces and chicken and salad and a good salsa. It reminded me of Mexican food! And then we went home, and then we had to bless the shop of an Ecuadorian family because they just had opened it to the public. So that was cool. Ecuadorians have so much faith, and are so humble they are great examples for me, I love them!!!
And then we did some contacts the whole night pretty much all of our plans fell, and then we went home and did our weekly planning! So that was sweet. We have got some great ideas and plans going into this next week! So wish us luck! But I’m loving it here! The sun is shining birds chirping no complaints. But I heard it’s supposed to rain again. But it’s alright. And today for Pday we played some soccer and we went to Llanqihue to eat some completos and french fries with Elder Luna and Elder Changoyan. It was great! So its gonna be a killer week I can already feel it! I love you guys so much, thanks for all your prayers and love!
